Rub Out the Word (Electro) is a more ‘mobile’ version of the Burroughs-based project. Hall’s 4-member group uses the literary material from the larger ensemble’s suite. But Electro focuses on improvising ambient sound environments, short thematic elements and electroacoustic sound cut-ups and audio mosaics to reflect/accompany the spoken word Burroughs text.
